The new second generation Diasorin Liaison Sars CoV-2 Trimeric S – IgG assay for the assay of SARS-Cov-2 anti-SPIKE protein (S1 – S2) antibodies, uses chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) technology for the determination quantitative of specific IgG antibodies directed against the SARS-CoV2 trimeric spike protein in human serum or plasma samples. The assay is intended for use as an aid in the diagnosis of COVID-19 and as an aid in the study of the immune status or vaccine provider, providing an indication of the presence and quantification of neutralizing IgG antibodies directed against SARS-CoV -2.

Serological tests with blood sampling are performed every day by appointment (no medical prescription required).
THIS IS NOT A RAPID TEST the blood tests are performed with laboratory equipment, dedicated to infectious disease, by the Diasorin Company for the evaluation of the antibodies developed following the infection from Covid-19 or post vaccine, i.e. the defenses that active organism when it comes into contact with the virus. It is a complementary test, but not a replacement for the molecular test (RT-PCR buffer) which can be useful for verifying a previous infection or immunization after the vaccine.
CLIA – CHEMILUMINESCENCE IMMUNODOSAGE Quantitative determination of specific anti-S1 and anti-S2 IgG antibodies directed against SARS-CoV-2 in human serum or plasma samples. The tests are aimed at verifying the immunological status after natural infection or after vaccination immunization, providing an indication of the specific exposure to SARS-CoV-2 and an additional response to the direct detection of the pathogen. The laboratories of the Artemisia Lab network, like the most important Italian hospitals, are equipped with diagnostic equipment capable of testing over 100 samples in one hour in continuous flow. The equipment used for the detection of IgM antibodies and IgG neutralizing antibodies in chemiluminescence are “LIASION XL” of the company DiaSorin S.p.A. (test already in the second generation – Liaison Sars CoV-2 Trimeric S – IgG for the assay of anti-SPIKE protein antibodies (S1 – S2) of SARS-Cov- 2.). To maintain the high quality standard that distinguishes us, by company choice, we do not use other cheaper methods (Elisa, CARDS) even though they are present and available in our laboratories.
As required by our ISO 9001: 2015 certification protocols, in the event of a positive and / or doubtful result, the exam is repeated for confirmation at our expense.
